The Royal House of Bernadotte
June 15 - September 26, 2010

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the election of Jean Bernadotte, Marshal in the army of Napoleon I, as Crown Prince of Sweden, under the name of Karl Johan. This is marked in an exhibition featuring artworks and other objects connected to the Bernadotte dynasty. The exhibition includes a number of paintings by Prince Eugen (the great grandson of Karl Johan) and by Princess Eugénie (Karl Johan's grand child and Prince Eugen's aunt). Portraits and caricatures, busts, letters, medals and photographs also form part of the exhibition.

Ring and crown

In conjunction with the royal wedding, Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde is opening a small-format arts and crafts exhibition - Ring and Crown. The exhibition is arranged in collaboration with the author Magdalena Ribbing and features some twenty crowns and around fifty rings.

Roland Svensson - Archipelago, Islands and Sea September 18
2010 - January 16, 2011

Meet the popular painter of the archipelago, who presented his experiences and impressions to the Swedish people, in his own words and images. Roland Svensson (1910-2003) worked predominantly in the Swedish archipelago, but also sailed the North and South Atlantic Oceans on many occasions. The exhibition features some 200 colourful works by the artist.

Art Deco Glassware from Reijmyre
September 25 - November 28, 2010


With Reijmyre glassworks celebrating its bi-centenary this year, a minor exhibition showing some 30 pieces of studio glass and sketches, dating from the turn of the century 1900, will be mounted. The exhibition is arranged in collaboration with Östergötlands länsmuseum (county museum) and presents art deco bowls and vases by Betzy Ählström, Anna Boberg, Ferdinand Boberg, Alf Wallander, Greta Welander, Ellen Meyer och Axel Enoch Boman.

Masterpieces by Zorn
October 23 2010 - January 23 2011


This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Anders Zorn. This will be celebrated with a jubilee exhibition of Zorn masterpieces, produced in collaboration with the museum Zornmuseet in Mora. By featuring paintings on loan from Swedish and international museums, as well as private collections, a comprehensive picture of Sweden's renowned national painter emerges. The exhibition includes the artist's best-known watercolours and paintings, brought together for the first time in many years.
