Carl Wilhelmson
September 5 - January 31 2010

September 5 - January 10, 2010 Carl Wilhelmson (1866-1928), a contemporary of Prince Eugen's, was one of Sweden's most esteemed National Romanticist painters around the turn-of-the-century 1900. The exhibition, which features well-known and representative works, is a splendid celebration of a great artist who made the Swedish west coast his own. As a depicter of ordinary people and their lives, Wilhelmson is among the greatest of his time, having created a number of unforgettable portraits of the inhabitants of the west coast and depictions of its austere landscape.
